Yesterday the sun blazed down on Harmony Garden and the Orchard and thousands came to enjoy the SBHA Family Book Festival, the Born in the Borders Street Market and of course John Cleese, Rory Bremner and the many other authors we hosted. It was a pleasure to watch Sebastian Barry winning the Walter Scott Prize for the second time for his stunning novel, Days Without End. A magical day and the sun is out this morning and will light up a terrific final day at the Baillie Gifford Borders Book Festival. There are still tickets left for most events, so have a look at our website here and join us at Harmony Garden.
Harmony House is a special place during the Festival. Jay Rayner has been a frequent visitor to the Baillie Gifford Borders Book Festival, this time we invited him to do the dishes with Alistair.
And there’s four very well know ladies talking about their favourite books in our Facebook Live Chat.
And there’s the highlights of the whole day in our daily video. Enjoy!
