Evelyn Glennie in Conversation with Kirsty Wark

Friday 17 June
The Times Marquee
9.30pm  /   £14, £12 (c)
The world’s premier solo percussionist, Evelyn was born in Aberdeenshire where she learned to play the clarinet and the mouth organ. She can still play the bagpipes. Not sure about the moothie. Evelyn will talk to Kirsty about her life and her extraordinary career. She would refute the much reported claim that she has lost her hearing. In fact, Evelyn has taught herself to hear with parts of her body other than her ears and plays barefoot to feel the music better. An amazing life, an amazing woman.
