Summer is just around the corner, and a visit to the Knight Frank Schools Gala Day on Friday 14th June is the ideal way to wrap up the school year, with a packed programme of fantastic events for pupils and teachers from Nursery to Primary 7 to enjoy. It's a superb day out in a very safe environment and the line-up of authors, illustrators and entertainers is simply amazing.

This year’s Knight Frank Schools Gala Day Programme includes:

Winnie the Pooh (Nursery - P3)

Debi Gliori (P1 - P3)

Vivian French (P3 - P5)

Allan Burnett (P4 - P7)

Caroline Lawrence (P4 - P7)

The Schools Gala Day is always a hit with pupils, staff and authors alike – it’s a wonderful opportunity for children to interact with their favourite writers and ask them those burning questions about their favourite characters.  Now in its 8th year, the Knight Frank Schools Gala Day is increasingly accessible for all pupils in Borders schools - and even more so since we introduced our low ticket price of only £1.00.  

Historic Scotland is joining in the fun again this year with free activities at Melrose Abbey on Schools Gala day.  Historic Scotland will offer free entry to ‘Abbey Day’ activities and will offer a 75% subsidy on transport to schools who take part in their events.
