Now in its third year, the Walter Scott Prize boasts its most stellar longlist from a genre bursting with vigour. Sponsored by the Duke and Duchess of Buccleuch, it is now one of Britain’s premier literary awards. Hosted by Kirsty Wark, with readings by John Sessions from each of the shortlisted novels, the prize will be presented by the Scott Prize’s first ever winner, Hilary Mantel. Come and celebrate great writing with great writers. 

The shortlisted novels are:

On Canaan's Side - Sebastian Barry

The Sisters Brothers - Patrick de Witt

Half Blood Blues - Esi Edugyan

The Stranger's Child - Alan Hollinghurst

Pure - Andrew Miller

The Quality of Mercy - Barry Unsworth
