Day two at the Festival

What a variety of events we had on day 2, a whole afternoon dedicated to young people – they programmed the events themselves, ran the production and interviewed their guests. A great opportunity for them and us! Another of Friday's highlights was Dame Evelyn Glennie and the 'Sound of Science' event - a musical journey through science and the Universe from the begining of time! Gavin Hastings and P.C Brown brought us a fundraiser for charity, ‘Tomorrows People’ with their reminisces from the touchline, we had the fabulous poetry of Hollie McNish, Mike Rutherford looked back on his life in the music industry and we enjoyed music – lots of it in it’s different forms from percussion, to opera to jazzy edgy folk!
